The staff were all friendly and accommodating and the check in was quick and professional. The room was a good size, was modern and the kitchenette was an extra that I wouldn't expect in this priced hotel. Bathroom was clean, spacious and functional. The bed was large and comfortable. The TV, air conditioning and the curtains all functioned perfectly, which allowed for a really pleasant stay. I mention these as our trip saw us in multiple hotels throughout the States and some places failed in these basics. The free breakfast was good, without being great, but had all the buffet options, so most people would find something to eat, to start their day. We joined the hotel club for free, which allowed early check in and late check out. If you want a very reasonably priced hotel, with great amenities, very friendly staff, that's very close to Manhattan, I thoroughly recommend this establishment. In relation to the location of the hotel and some of the negative comments left by others - It's a five-minute walk to the subway and yes you walk past some groups of people of different ethnicities hanging around the markets/shops, but at no time were we hassled and we walked through the area multiple times, at all hours of the day and night - and not that this should matter but we are Caucasians - and we got hassled for money in Manhattan, multiple times, as happens when you travel to any big city. We used Ubers when we went out to eat at a couple of local restaurants, because it was pretty cold, and the trips were $10 USD or less. If you think I'm promoting this place too strongly, feel free to check out my other reviews - I always give an honest review because I would want to know as the proprietor of an establishment, what I'm doing right or wrong, so my business flourishes.

Hotel is excellent, well maintained and clean though neighborhood seems poor (but quiet enough and did not feel dangerous). Close to subway so easy to get around. Breakfast modest but adequate and generally very happy with the hotel facilities. Some restaurants and convenience stores close by. Staff in particular were very helpful and went well out of their way to help us. On arrival my wife dropped her bag in the taxi and did not discover it until after the taxi left. The reception staff spared no effort in trying to contact the driver via the driver number in the receipt and eventually we were put in touch with the driver who returned the bag with all contents intact. I cannot praise the reception staff highly enough for the effort they put into helping us at this difficult time.

The hotel is very close to NYC public housing, known locally as "the projects". Being a former New Yorker, I can navigate the area but I wouldn't term it safe, especially at nite-although the presence of police is generally there. If you are watchful, you should be fine. The bus service is particularly good and will get you to other interesting areas in Queens like, Astoria in a few minutes. The F train, the subway line closest to the hotel, will get you into the city (NYC-Manhattan) in a quick ride.

Alice was very friendly and helpful!! Rooms were clean, but I would prefer my room to be cleaned daily… not every other day… even if sheets aren’t changed, making the bed and touching up cleaning is part of the price. The breakfast staff was extraordinary, they kept things full and cleaned up… helpful if a bagel got stuck in the toaster… never once had to ask for things to be refilled… they made sure everything was always replaced and ready!! Way to go breakfast workers!! Outstanding job!! ❤️❤️

Comfortable, clean, well run, friendly staff. So close to Manhattan! Five minutes from the subway station and literally two stops in. Decent breakfasts with eggs, sausage, etc. Decent coffee 24 hours. It's a little bit in the "hood" with some sketchy characters around but as a New Yorker it doesn't feel dangerous and the worst you'll experience at night is some crazy people shouting. Lots of brightly lit stores around. And there are lots of hotels and other tourists in the area.
